Laser Profiling for Sewer Pipes and Geometric Scanning Tool
LASER PROFILER | Geometry-Scanning Attachment for ROVVER X
Connecting in seconds to the ROVVER X inspection crawler, this laser ring captures a geometrical profile of the inside of buried pipes. With laser pipe profiling, data is readily analyzed to verify proper pipe installation, plan pipe relining projects, determine remaining pipe life, monitor erosion/corrosion and quantify defects.
Snap-On Scanning for Sewer Laser Inspection
Simply attach the laser profiler to your ROVVER X crawler’s pan/tilt camera head.
With no tools or electrical connections required, Envirosight’s laser profiling for sewer pipes makes acquiring pipe geometry easy. Perform a video inspection as you travel forward through the pipe, then turn off the lights and collect a pipe profile on your way back.
A radial laser casts a sharp profile inside lines as large as 27”.
Carbon-fiber boom minimizes weight to ensure stability.
One AA battery powers days’ worth of scanning.
Snug design clips onto the ROVVER X pan/tilt camera without tools.
Laser Pipe Profiling Provides Geometric Detail
Laser scans reveal structural concerns.
Your laser scans automatically transfer into WinCan, where they can be analyzed to understand pipe ovality, erosion, corrosion, and other geometric anomalies. With our laser profile pipe inspection product, you can explore data with four synchronized views, or export geometry to CAD applications.
WinCan extracts the laser profile from each video frame.
A scan view color-codes the degree to which regions of the pipe are out of dimensional tolerance.
Sectional profiles collected by our laser pipe profiling tool are combined to build a 3D model of interior surface geometry, which can then be exported to engineering applications.

CCTV Inspection
Simply disconnect your SAT II crawler and attach a ROVVER X. In no time flat, you’ll be performing traditional CCTV inspection using the same reel and controls.
Room to Grow
When the demands of the job grow, ROVVER X keeps pace.
With the ROVVER X integrated platform for sewer laser inspection, you can multiply your inspection capabilities with incremental investments.
Lateral Launch
Travel 984’ down mainlines, and then launch 147’ up lateral connections. With steerable 8-wheel drive and a durable belt-drive launch mechanism, ROVVER X SAT II gives you the power to rapidly locate cross bores and illicit flows, and to perform pre-acceptance inspections.
Side Scanning
Capture a high-resolution side scan with detail from every square inch of pipe wall. Just detach the pan/tilt camera from your ROVVER X and attach the Digisewer camera head—no tools needed.
